Eamonn and Ruth welcome The Frying Squad back to This Morning

Every year the National Fish & Chip Awards recognises the shopkeepers and the chefs behind the best fish and chip shops in the country. Last year we were delighted when ITV called to invite us to bring our famous Frying Squad van to the iconic Television Centre to celebrate the crowning of Britain’s Best Chippy. So we were even more thrilled when the team from THIS MORNING WITH EAMONN  AND RUTH invited us back to provide the backdrop to their feature on this year’s Awards.

This year’s winners maintain their popularity for the same reasons as The Frying Squad, because they insist on only using the best available produce, so they were grateful to have access to our superior, spotlessly clean mobile kitchen facilities to properly prepare their quality cod loins and crispy chips (a great favourite of Ruth’s and the rest of the This Morning team, as it turns out).

Nominees for the awards are judged against a range of criteria – with mystery judges attending shops and restaurants countrywide to assess key factors such as customer service, staff training, innovation… and, of course, great tasting, great quality fish and chips!
